Shipping, Returns, and Warranty
Due to limited volume, made to order, and the nature of producing a premium product order fulfillment is estimated at 3-4 months. If there is inventory after a production cycle the fulfilment time may be significantly reduced.
At KOBO we intend to please our customers and offer the best service. If you are not satisfied with a product that you purchased from KOBO, simply return it to us within 30 days of our ship date in its original packaging.
All returns must have an authorization code, so please email support@KOBOfishing.com before shipping back the product. The bank may take several days to be visible in your account.
While a credit or refund will be given of the value of the returned product, we do not reimburse you for the shipping and handling. Return shipping is the responsibility of the recipient and not KOBO.
The KOBO Power Reel warranty is to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a three (3) year period on the electronics and a one (1) year period bumper to bumper.
KOBO Labs LLC will repair or replace components which failed in normal use. Replacement, repairs, and labor will be made at no charge provided the customer is responsible for transportation cost. Original packaging to be used for shipment. The warranty is only valid for:
- The original customer
- Product with original receipt for proof of purchase to make warranty claim
- Product that has been purchased through authorized retailers
- The warranty does not include damage to the product resulting from:
a. Improper use
b. Failure to follow the product instructions, safeguards, and best practices
c. Unauthorized repairs or modifications
d. Normal wear and tear
e. Accident, abuse, or events beyond our reasonable control
THE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES CONTAINED HEREIN ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY LIABILITY ARISING UNDER ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, WHICH MAY VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL KOBO LABS LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER RESULTING FROM THE USE, MISUSE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT OR FROM DEFECTS IN THE PRODUCT. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
KOBO Labs LLC retains the exclusive right to repair or replace the product or offer a full refund of the purchase price at its sole discretion. SUCH REMEDY SHALL BE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY.
After receiving your KOBO Power Reel please register it by emailing KOBO Labs LLC at support@KOBOfishing.com with your name, address, phone number along with the serial number(s) of the reel(s) you purchased.
