Ambassador Q&A

What is your profession? Did you always know this wis what you would end up doing or was it something you stumbled into?

Venice Louisiana charter captain. I have always wanted to be a charter captain.

Favorite species to catch?

We catch a lot of yellowfin tuna in Venice but swordfishing is where I like to spend my time.

Favorite place to fish?

Right here out of Venice Lousiana – nothing beats your own backyard!

What do you do when you’re not fishing?

I enjoy spending time with my family and kids. I also hunt in the off season.

What is your favorite KOBO feature?

The Smart Motor feature and drag display are next level. Being able to dial in the drag visually is easy for customers and then having the motor self regulate the speed is next level.

How do you use your KOBO Power Reel?

We use it as our tip rod for swordfishing and deep dropping for grouper, tile fish, and even snapper.
