Charleston South Carolina Swordfishing
First time fishing Charleston
INTRO
During development we spent a large amount of time on developing our digital drag readout. Last year we were able to fish out of Beaufort and Charleston South Carolina. Its always fun meeting new fisherman, potential customers, and fishing new grounds.
We also get to see first time reactions from KOBO users and learn what the like about reel, what's not being explained enough, and what we can do better.

Since we have a digital drag display we find it very useful when setting the hook on swords. We were lucky enough to fish out of Charleston with now new customers who had never used a KOBO Power Reel before. We felt this was exactly how we wanted to see the reel fished.
In the video you'll see the bite, tease, and hook set by our fisherman running the reel. Marcello had never set the hook with a KOBO before but picked it up very quickly. You can see in image 1 he is focused on the bite, image 2 he's seeing the rod load up, and 3 he's monitoring how much drag pressure is being applied on the readout as he increases pressure. Once his target pressure was achieved he back off the drag at a fighting pressure.
Unfortunately this fish had headshakes at the surface and spit the hook at the but we got the second one of the day!
